Firm Background

Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank, LLP is a full-service diverse law firm that handles litigation and transactional matters.  Partners Norma García Guillén and Tabitha Rainey Pullara proudly founded the law firm on January 1, 2013 with the goal of providing top-notch legal services with a heightened level of personal attention, creativity and professionalism.

Building and developing their own law firm from the ground up after more than a decade at top law firms allowed our partners to carefully establish the firm’s values; and then hand pick their most talented colleagues to join them in this exciting new venture.

Certified by Supplier Clearinghouse as a women-owned law firm, Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank has succeeded in building a solid platform on which to grow a forceful law firm committed to diversity and unparalleled representation of its clients.

Enjoying incredible success, founding partners Norma García Guillén and Tabitha Rainey Pullara were pleased to announce the expansion of the firm by naming Jeff Blank, John Bowerbank and Laura Noroski as partners, effective February 2015. Previously, Blank and Noroski were serving as Of Counsel attorneys to the firm.  Bowerbank made a lateral move, as a former partner at Newmeyer & Dillion.

Our attorneys have graduated with honors from top law schools, have received countless academic accolades and have been recognized as leaders in the community.  We have achieved the Order of the Coif (top 10% ranking in law school); been selected for Law Review; Moot Court, USC Law School’s prestigious Shattuck Award, and several others.  Further, Norma García Guillén, John Bowerbank, Tabitha Rainey Pullara and Laura Noroski have each been lauded by “Super Lawyers” and Jeff Blank has been named one of Orange County’s “Most Influential” of 2014 by the Orange County Register.

Partners Garcia, Rainey, Blank, Bowerbank, and Noroski began their legal careers at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, an AmLaw 100 law firm, where they formed a unique bond that has formed the basis for the team approach they use in actively handling client matters at Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank.  Learning the practice of law from some of the most prominent attorneys in the country, our team has combined the superior legal skills it has honed over the years, with our fresh outlook on new and technologically efficient ways to practice law.

Just one way we distinguish ourselves from other firms is our strong community involvement. García Guillén is a past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County and served as Chair of the Board of Directors of KidWorks from 2012 to 2014, a non-profit in central Santa Ana serving at-risk youth and their families.  She currently serves on the UC Irvine Saturday Academy of Law Oversight Committee and on the Dean’s Executive Committee at UCI Law School.  Rainey serves the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of the South Coast Area, previously, as a board member and, most recently, as a board advisor.  Blank has served as the volunteer mock trial attorney coach for Trabuco Hills High School the past four years and was named as the Constitutional Rights Foundation-Orange County Attorney Coach of the Year in 2014.  Bowerbank was recently elected as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Real Estate Section of the Orange County Bar Association.  Noroski serves on the Advisory Committee of KidWorks and is currently a Board Member of the William P. Gray Legion Lex Inn of Court, which aims to promote the preservation of the highest standards of excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills in the legal profession.

We also distinguish ourselves in terms of our ability to handle a diverse array of matters with our carefully-selected team of attorneys.  In addition to the partners, the firm has recruited a deep bench of talented attorneys, who have enabled the firm to broaden its capabilities and better serve its clients regardless of the scope of the engagement.  In addition, several of the firm’s attorneys have corporate in-house experience in the legal departments of large multi-national corporations, giving the firm a superior level of insight into its clients' business needs.

Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank is a true full-service law firm, with a refreshing approach to the practice of law.  Our litigation team handles complex national and international litigation matters throughout the United States in federal and state court, including appellate, class action, and arbitration matters.  We have a thriving sports law practice.  Our transactional team represents middle market and large corporations and partnerships with a broad spectrum of corporate matters from entity formation, drafting and negotiation of integral business contracts, to mergers and acquisitions.  Attorneys specializing in labor and employment and family law have also joined our team in response to client demand for these specialized services.  In addition, our optimal size and agility allows us to efficiently handle an array of additional practice areas including real estate matters, Americans with Disabilities Act cases and lending transactions, to name a few.  Our clients tell us they truly experience the “best of both worlds” at Garcia Rainey Blank & Bowerbank.
